It has been proven that positive people in the workplace are more productive, they work smarter, meet deadlines and are more successful whilst also having fun at work.
If you have a goal to be more successful or happier whilst at work here are some common habits from the happiest work colleagues:

Be Realistic

Happy people will set goals that are realistic and achievable.  Happy people like to use their time effectively, they will work smarter and delegate where necessary.  Happy people will only focus on things that are in their control and won’t spend time worrying about the things they cannot control.

Have a Target

If you ask your happy colleagues if they have a plan and have set goals then I expect they will all say yes.  Happy people enjoy having a plan, it keeps them on track and gives them something to work towards.  Having a set plan or goals will make you feel like your work has real purpose.

Sharing the Knowledge

Even when happy people are at their busiest, they will still find time to help others, they will share their knowledge and skills to help develop colleagues, with an understanding that this in turn will help them and the business to grow.  Helping others will also increase collaboration and teamwork within the business.

Positivity Breeds Positivity

Negativity within the office can have a huge impact, if one person within the team is having a bad day this can have a knock on effect to other employees.  Happy people will keep their distance from negative people and will seek out and surround themselves with other positive and happy colleagues.

Leave your worries at the Door

Happy people are more aware of their own emotions and others, they will be able to leave their bad mood at the door in the morning and on arriving at the office they are able to focus on work 100%.  Happy people know that if they bring their worries into the office it will have an impact on their productivity and possibly on other colleagues so they just don’t do this.

Looking after Number One

Happy people take better care of themselves, they will have a self-care routine, they will exercise and sleep well, have hobbies and have fun in their life outside of work.  They tend to plan their time outside of work as well as planning their time in work.

Happy Environment

We spend a lot of time at work, happy people will make their work environment a more enjoyable place to be.  They will keep their area clean, tidy and organized and may even jazz the space up with a plant or photo!
